What makes you think? The fact that you should wait until things actually happen before slating people for them...?

It was reported in a lot of the media that he was entitled to the money , which is true , and the speculation was that he wouldnt sign until he got it .
I am pleased that there are still some decent players like James about , not only forgoing the money but dropping down to a lower league with a big drop in salary . Apparantly he did it for his family's sake .
Seems he is a decent bloke and I wish him luck .

To be fair in most cases this doesn't seem to happen.

Yes you are right,
James who turns 40 tomorrow, has signed a one-year deal at Ashton Gate, with the option of a second year.

"I've had offers to stay in the Premier League, but it is more important that I play football – which I love – for the right club and be a family man," said James.

"I had a long conversation with the chairman Steve Lansdown and I liked what he said about the club and his ambition. I know all about the plans for a new stadium and desire to win promotion to the Premier League.

"The club is ambitious and that's what I am. The south-west has not had a club in the Premier League and that needs to change."

Apologies if I was somewhat too harsh, and I do know full well that the media were writing a lot, but even if 95% of players would do it, it's still wise not to actually slag people for doing things until they actually do them...

It's been reported in the media that LFC were bidding for Figueroa, Konchesky, Bridge, Luke Young and Marcel Janssen, but who are our two LBs at this moment in time? Aurelio and Insua...

Still they've gotta sell papers...
