We should be in a strong position to overtake Italy by the end of the season, and Bayern should be looking to win the Bundesliga again, given last season's charge to the title. One team to keep an eye on will be Stuttgart, and if their second half form under Gross carries into next season, they will provide stiff opposition for anybody...
Dortmund and Leverkusen flattered to deceive last year, but Leverkusen in particular should do much better this season, imo, as they will have key players back from injury (rolfes, helmes, castro and renato augusto). They will miss Kroos of course, but if Hyypia can continue to defy his age, and Ballack slots in well, they should be a difficult team to beat, especially with that crafty little fekker, Arturo Vidal in the mix.
They had a solid representation at the world cup, which imo, is a sign of the strength of their squad.
Really looking forward to this season, but Bayern have some obvious gaps to fill. The season open is a really tough one, and there are obvious question marks about central defence and the forward position. Butt did well last season, but he still doesnt inspire complete confidence, so the opposition should have every reason to believe that they can take the game to us...
Hope these weeks fly by. Nothing like watching the German league for relatively unknown talent, and subsequently, seeing the players flourish in international competition
